EKG Technician Program (EKG)

 Students will learn the fundamentals of performing electrocardiograms (EKGs) to monitor and record the heart's electrical activity. Training includes proper patient preparation, lead placement, operating EKG equipment, recognizing basic heart rhythms, safety procedures, and professional patient care to prepare for entry-level employment in healthcare settings. 


Requirements: 

  • Be 18 years of Age or older 
  • Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent / May be a high school senior ( Class of 2026)
  • ALL DEPOSITS ARE REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR SPOT IN THE PROGRAM DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE/NON-TRANSFERABLE
  • HOLIDAYS MAY EXTEND CLASS DURATION UP TO 1-2 WEEKS
  • CLINICAL HOURS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM

  • EKG Technician (CET)

  Students will complete classroom instruction by reviewing educational materials, course content, and professional workplace expectations to build the knowledge necessary for hands-on training.

  Students will complete hands-on skills training in Phlebotomy at our school before beginning their supervised clinical experience.

Clinical Experience

 Following successful completion of classroom instruction and skills training, students will participate in supervised clinical experiences at a partnering healthcare facility (depending on our partners availability). Clinicals provide students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world medical environment while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals.
