REQUIREMENTS:

18 years of age or older • High school diploma/equivalent or eligible high school senior • Interview required before enrollment • Deposit required to secure enrollment • Clinical hours required for completion. 

 Upon successful completion, students may be eligible to sit for the applicable national certification examination through NHA, subject to NHA eligibility requirements.

Students in the Pharmacy Technician program gain the essential knowledge and practical skills needed for a successful healthcare career in settings such as retail pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and specialty pharmacies. The comprehensive curriculum covers critical areas, including medication classifications, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmaceutical calculations, prescription processing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and patient safety. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training, students build the confidence and experience needed to pursue entry-level employment as a Pharmacy Technician.

Students will participate in hands-on CPhT training to practice essential pharmacy technician duties, including prescription processing, medication preparation, inventory management, dosage calculations, customer service, and pharmacy operations in a simulated pharmacy environment, all of which are crucial for a successful healthcare career as a Pharmacy Technician.

After successfully completing classroom instruction and hands-on skills training as part of their CPhT training, students will participate in a supervised pharmacy externship. During this valuable healthcare career experience, students apply their knowledge and skills in a real pharmacy setting while working alongside licensed pharmacists

During this valuable healthcare career experience, students apply their knowledge and skills in a real pharmacy setting while working alongside licensed pharmacists and experienced pharmacy staff to prepare for entry-level employment as a Pharmacy Technician.
